Long Course

27 October - 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

24 November - 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

9 February - 1km swim,  28km cycle, 8km run

23 March - 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

Straight swim depending on tide from Brisbane or bridge side or from Glasshouse or Caloundra side.

Two or three lap bike of 10km each lap. (flat and fast)

Multi lap run course beside water. (flat with several drink stations).

Race Start Times

Sunday: Short course starts first with the first wave at 6.45am. Depending on numbers, waves will be approximately 3 minutes apart. First wave of long course is scheduled to start at 7.30am.

Swim Leg

All swim legs will be in the Pumicestone Passage in a straight line back to the transition area. All swims are with the current.

Cycle Leg

Will be run as laps through the streets of the local residential area.

Cycle Course Description

Sylvan Beach Esp. at Pacific Harbour entrance at round-a-bout, right into Marina Bvd left into Seaside drive. Turn left into Marina Bvd, left into Marina Village Rd. Turn left into Marina Bvd left into North Pnt and left into Marina Bvd left into The Peninsula, turn left Marina Bvd right across traffic island into Verdoni St, stay on wrong side of road, right into Boronia Drive left into Sylvan Beach Esp. Turn at Marbrin Pl, right into transition.

Bike course: one lap for short course - 300/10/3. Two laps for 750/20/5, three laps 1000/29/8.

Run Leg

Left out of transition, on to bike path towards Caloundra

Out/back for 1.5km, 300/10/3
Out/back twice 1.25km for 750/20/5
Out/back three times for 1000/29/8

And return to transition and the finish.

Series

Points scored from all four triathlons, those who enter three or four races over the season qualify for series prizes.

Licenced Triathlete

A current financial member of Triathlon Australia.

Unlicenced Triathlete

Not a current financial member of Triathlon Australia.

Age Group categories are from 13 years up in 5 years stages.

Clydesdales

Males over 90kg who wish to race against others in that weight category. This replaces age group category.

Athenas

Females over 70kg who wish to race against others in that weight category. This replaces age group category.

Friends Wave

This wave is designed for a group of friend, family, mates, club, who all wish to race in the one wave and against one another. (Times will be given but no category placing or trophies.)

Active Kids

These Saturday events are non-competitive, and no times are taken for these events. Active Kids compete in age groups with distances determined by their age.
